Core Infrastructure

Open Dispatch Engine

The Namma Yatri dispatch engine is fully open-source. Every matching decision — driver selection, route assignment, demand prediction — is governed by auditable algorithms that cities and operator communities can inspect, modify, and govern.

Unlike proprietary platforms, our engine does not optimize for platform revenue. It optimizes for driver utilization and rider wait time, with community-set weighting parameters.

  • Location-aware demand prediction with 15-minute granularity
  • Driver preference matching — route, time-of-day, vehicle type
  • Fair queue management — no algorithmic driver deactivation
  • Open governance: parameters set by driver council vote

Driver Tools

Driver App & Income Dashboard

The Namma Yatri driver app is built around one principle: the driver has complete information and complete control. Before accepting any ride, the driver sees the full route, fare, distance, and rider history.

The income dashboard provides real-time earnings tracking, shift analytics, peak demand heatmaps, and weekly income summaries — giving drivers the data they need to make informed decisions about when and where to work.

  • Full route and fare preview before accepting a ride
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly earnings breakdowns
  • Demand heatmaps updated every 10 minutes
  • Driver Income Shield: guaranteed minimum daily earning floor

Payments

Transparent Payment Infrastructure

Namma Yatri's payment rails are designed for zero-commission operation. When a rider pays, the full agreed fare goes to the driver. There is no per-ride platform deduction, no hidden settlement delay, no dynamic pricing black box.

Drivers receive earnings settlement within 24 hours via bank transfer or UPI. Riders see a complete fare receipt with every line-item cost disclosed before ride confirmation.

  • Multi-payment: UPI, card, wallet, and cash supported
  • Rider fare receipt shows base rate, distance, and time components
  • Driver settlement in <24 hours via bank transfer or UPI
  • Surge pricing capped and disclosed in advance to riders
